Ali’s History
I am the oldest son of my father Jibran. Arabs typically have five names. I am Ali, the son of Jibran, the son of Ahmad, the son of Harun from the Hashemite Clan. The Hashemite Clan are considered part of royalty in Jordan because we are descendants of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad (May God’s peace and. Blessing be on him). My father holds a good position in the government of Jordan and I have been given more opportunities than most people. I went to the most prestigious schools in Jordan and received a good education. I was always under a lot of pressure to perform well because I had to uphold the family name. My passion has always been architecture. I used to admire the old buildings scattered across Jordan from my childhood days. I spent hours drawing them and colouring them in. I often used to design my own buildings and dreamt of the day when they would be built.
